CORK

Green flooring is good flooring. There is no flooring greener than cork. From the bark of the cork oak tree, the raw material of flooring is harvested from the tree without harming it. This is a the most sustainable and eco-friendly flooring option that is becoming more and more popular due to its durability and versatility in a variety of spaces.

Available in many natural cork visuals, along with printed looks like wood or stone, cork can install using glue or a floating floor system.

We custom cut the materials perfectly to your stairway and landings, then apply to right edging like serging or binding for the luxury of a custom stair runner.

ACOUSTICAL UNDERLAYMENT

To minimize sound transmission between floors, acoustical underlayment is commonly installed (and required) in combination with hardwood, luxury vinyl, laminate and even carpet. These underlayment products are made with materials, such as rubber, cork, foam or a combination of those.

IIC and STC ratings are the test results by third party companies who certify the results. HOAs typically will require certain IIC and/or STC ratings to be achieved and documented prior to approving an installation to take place in the building.

In addition to sound control, many acoustical underlayment options include a moisture barrier that some floor coverings require for installation in certain spaces.
